MoonPie brings a little out-of-the-ordinary-fun into your day and makes you smile.

 

Since its inception in 1917, MoonPie has grown into one of the country’s most iconic national snack foods. And while the brand enjoyed steady success as a top 100 SKU, an aging consumer base and lack of relevance to younger customers had caused sales to stagnate. MoonPie hired Tombras to, on the one hand, inspire new consumers to enter the brand, while at the same time not diminish the loyalty of the brand’s older base.

 
 

We reinvigorated the brand and drove trial with new millennial and Gen Z users. The results have been staggering with ADWEEK naming MoonPie one of the Top 5 Breakthrough Brands of the year and Forbes calling our work the marketing success story of the year. The MoonPie Twitter account, is now widely recognized as one of the top brand accounts on social media.

After a decade of stagnation, MoonPie sales rose by 17% in the aftermath of our efforts.
